Jesus was a special man.
He always understood everything. Already
as a little boy he could understand more
than the learned scribes
could ever understand.
Mostly he walked around for himself.
He spoke to God,
or to what was divine in himself.
In a way, his thoughts were not big or profound.
They were not particularly complicated.
But unhappy people became very happy.
His disciples could see something in him.
They recognize something of themselves.
They anointed his hands and feet
and felt liberated from their inner sufferings –
if only he said to them, “Go away.”
